There are surprisingly few Ben10 crossovers out there (at least on FFNet where I think there are 12 out of over a thousand fics). We don't have any on this board either.
So, I was thinking for our second contest (and yes I know the first one is still open), I was thinking of making a crossover contest. The goal would be to write a fic with the Ben 10 team interacting with the characters from another series. It would be the author's choice where it would take place (as in, which show's setting) and the story will be judged on overall writing as well as how well both sets of characters are portrayed.
One of the main things to keep in mind is that both sets of characters must remain "in-character" throughout the story.
Thoughts, ideas ?

Could be cool. Personally, I can't think of anyone to cross them over with, but I may not be thinking hard enough. The real difficulty in this is, what if most of the readers aren't familiar with who people are crossing over with? Let's say I chose...umm...Thundercats (would never, but it's an example). Well, what if only one reader even knows who they are? I don't know. We could definitely try, but there are extra complications.

That's the fun of a crossover though. Besides, it could even be a crack-fic and still acceptable.
This just came to me as an idea of crossing B10AF with House. Hilarity ensues.

...*laughs hysterically* with House? That would be the most hysterical fanfic if written well....you should write that one. "You aren't seeing aliens. There's something wrong with your brain. We'll take a biopsy." It'd be fun to see House's reaction to Ben changing into aliens.....wow, I never realized how much potential that could have.
Hmm...well, I'm cool with it. Personally, I'll probably end up researching characters from other people's submissions anyways (I'm such a nerd). I say green light it. That'll be the next contest.

Awesome. I don't think I'm going to have my current project finished in time to whip something up for the first contest, but we'll see. I've got a month and only a few more chapters of ADoU to write.
I'm just trying to decide which one of them I want to put in the hospital for the House crossover. Muahaha!

That's up to you. Any one of them could be fun, because all 3 have powers that House may have to react to. Which would be so hilarious.
...I need to go through the shows I watch/used to watch and figure out who to crossover with.

I'm just going to go with Teen Titans, personally. I had a very weird idea involving Starfire and Gwen (you'll see). Plus I think some members of the TT could learn a lot from Ben's team, and vice versa.
