Well, Cris liked the old series, but he didn't get to see AF. I explained that Kevin and Gwen like each other in AF, and he just goes "I knew it...". I get some of my info on the retro show out of him. (For example, he's how I know about Kevin's past. Thank goodness, otherwise a lot of my stories would have no background...and would suck).
Yeah, it's a very obvious pairing, but I do love it. Sometimes the fun ones are the ones you don't have to think too hard on ^_-

I've only seen bits and pieces of the retro series, a few of them were Kevin episodes, but I didn't really see much interaction between him and Gwen in those. I'm going to have to track them all down at some point.

From what I've heard, they didn't have much interaction, if really any in the retro series. Kevin grabbed her once, but it was in a threatening "I'm going to kill you" kind of way. Cris just figured that "the new guy I saw with them seemed like he'd be Gwen's boyfriend. Didn't know he was Kevin....that's kinda cool."

So, we keep track here of Gwevin moments in the new epis. I'm hoping for at least one...and I'm sure we'll get it.

YES! Well, I figured one of the reasons which attracted me to Gwevin was its similarities with Zutara (Avatar: The Last Airbender). Kevin is cute Zuko, actually, the bad guy turned good (who tried to kill Ben, who can be Aang). Ben is so Aang and Gwen=Katara like duh. (Although Zutara is another ship which is a semi-OTP; my OTP there is Taang, while Zutara has a slight edge over Kataang - just like Gwevin and Bwen...  ) Although in canon Kataang is canon, lol! (And Ken is Sokka of sorts! ) |

*laughs* I see the parallels there (wasn't too huge on Zutara, but even as a Kataang fan, I was shocked that Zutara didn't happen. 3rd season seemed to be hinting at it, after all).
I wonder if I would have changed the channel if I hadn't thought Gwen looked so much like Lily Potter and Kevin looked so much like Snape.....who knows?
Anyways, the part of the commercials were Gwen's power is surrounding her and crackling and she looks all scary, she screams something like "Get away from him"...I wonder if she's talking about Kevin there? (I know, I know, good chance that it's for Ben....)

You know, you have a point with the similarities... And Snape was always my favorite in that series.

*laughs* I'm sure when we all get back here tomorrow, everyone will have different posts going "This proved Gwevin!" "This helps the Bevin case!" "Hey, total Bwen moment!". Not sure how that will work, since tonight's episode is about an arachnachimp....all I saw of Gwen in the commercial was her in what looked like a space suit....but sometimes the hard to catch hints are the really fun ones.

Is it just me, or sometimes when Gwen's fighting does Kevin just seem to get this look like "Wow...she kicks ass..."?
I used to love doing this, so...anyone have songs they think work for this couple? What bugs me is the only one I can think of is not a happy love song...it's "There's a Fine Fine Line" from Avenue Q...mainly because at some point, if Kevin doesn't make a move, I think Gwen's going to get sick of waiting (and she can't exactly take initiative since he thinks guys should make the first move...maybe she should just kiss him already.)

If Kevin were evil, Decode would totally work for their relationship, because of this line:

That 'if you're a man at all' is so Kevin. It could also be for Ben, but I think it's the rock genre that makes me think Gwevin for this.

The song I just listened to "Your Guardian Angel" by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus brought this pair to mind. I think what makes it hit home is the fact that Kevin tends to shield Gwen from getting hurt (like in Darkstar Rising).

I'm gonna have to download those songs when I have the chance.
So...am I the only one who kind of redubbed the lines from Unearthed? Like, mainly this part:
Kevin: It's your turn.
Gwen: It's always my turn.
Kevin: You were the one that wanted to keep her.
all I could think was changing that last line to "You were the one that wanted to have a baby..." and then her returning something like "yeah, well, you enjoyed helping to make said baby, so it's your turn now..."

I noticed that. I loved the look on Kevin's face though when she went all maternal and owned the DNAliens. And Ben with "Something to think about next time you have a fight..."
