Ugh, this board. It just deleted what all I had to say, so to sum it up:
I first started liking this pair because of their physical resemblance to Severus Snape and Lilly Evans (Potter) from Harry Potter.
Of course, I liked them even more with every episode I watched. It wasn't until I finally saw the Paradox episode that I *really* took off in this fandom, both for this pairing and for the show as a whole.

I have to agree that this is my favorite pairing. It makes the most sense out of the possibilities, at least to me it does.
There's also the classic "good girl attracted to the bad boy" theme going on, which I can definitely relate to.

Well, what I found really refreshing about the pairing was that most pairings that are heavily hinted as canon have both characters completely in denial...Gwen openly admitted to liking Kevin in episode five, and he's not exactly hiding it either. It was nice to see that.

That was a nice change from a lot of romances. I think though, that since there are so many other things going on with the plot, adding in the denial factor would have been distracting from the central theme.

I agree.
I liked Gwen and Kevin mainly because of B10AF (as I said, never really got much into B10 itself). I like the idea of the romance between the two, because Kevin is such a complex character, and Gwen is such a strong-willed one. It was interesting IMO.

What was the first Kevin/Gwen moment you saw (if you didn't start watching from the first episode?) Mine was the kiss on the cheek in "What Are Little Girls Made Of?". I thought it was the most adorable thing I'd seen in a while. I kept thinking Kevin was only shouting "lame" at her repeatedly because he might get another kiss out of it ^_- (Yeah...I'm silly.)

Gwevin was really obvious to me in the first episode. I noticed it when Gwen put her hand on his shoulder and he gave her a look. And it was also VERY obvious when Kevin said "I'll follow you any where." I loved that scene.

*Arrow pointing up* That's your answer, Melanie. Although, cuteinpurple (I'm sorry, I don't know your name, although I've seen you on deviantart and fanfiction... ), that's from B10AF. Or was that what you meant. Ignore me. I'm confusing everyone.

Well, technically we're discussing more of Alien Force than the retro series, so that's probably why she phrased it as "first episode".

Oh, yes... I know a person on deviantart who shipped Gwen/Kevin during the retro series, and liked B10AF much more. Darn, can't remember her name (I'm assuming she's a she). But she had an awesome pic of Gwevin kiss!

*laughs* Yeah, they're not exactly subtle. I mean, c'mon...right from episode one.

I just rewatched episode one and you can tell that they were crushin' on each other right from the start.

Seriously. They practically whack you with a 2 by four that says "Gwen and Kevin like each other". I wonder why they wanted that established so quickly, though? It does feel a bit rushed...But I suppose the first episode does seem more one sided....kind of like Kevin likes Gwen, Gwen's not sure what to do with the ex-con (though she definitely feels the same way by the time "Kevin's Big Score" airs...)

It was kind of annoying at first and I was like "O.o" when I first realized Kevin had feelings for Gwen when she put her hand on his shoulder. It's a bit rushed, but they're laying it off a little now; but it was fun watching that episode when Kevin got jealous of Mike Morningstar. My favorite part was when the door slammed in Kevin's face.
