It was so nice to sleep in today. On top of it, I took a nap this afternoon too This morning, my daughter asked me to take her to get her flu shot since they were having a health expo at one of the schools. Well, we got there and I ended up getting one too because she started to get nervous about it. It helped to watch me get mine first and then she was able to just sit there for hers with no problems. I forgot how the flu shot tends to make your whole arm hurt by the end of the day, though. I am not amused with that.

Kids cooperating to take their shot is great. Arm hurting after the shot, not so much.
This weekend was very relaxing. Enough sleep, not so much homework, and some good writing done.

Yeah, she seems to be doing well with it. Me, on the other hand... Well, I have a nice big welt on my arm at the injection site. It doesn't help that because of the snow today, I was outside most of the afternoon at work coning off parts of the garage. I also pulled out half a dozen of our barrels (the big orange construction-style ones that weight about 50 pounds each), loaded them into the back of the truck, and set them up near one of the parking lots in case we have to close it in the morning.
On the bright side, at least my dog is enjoying the little bit that stuck on the ground at the house. Apparently, he's also learned to knock on the door when he wants to come in. He'll run up the stairs to the back door and head-butt it a couple of times for us to open it.

It doesn't snow here, but the weather's been cold and incredibly foggy. Plus, we get ice on the roads and frost on everything else. It's not so bad except it's really cold walking around on campus. There was a bit of rain too.
Yesterday I had a college counseling kick-off meeting at 7-9, today I had to stay till 6:30 for a late basketball practice, and tomorrow I've got a game in a city about an hour from my school. It's a busy week and besides doing homework, I haven't been doing anything else once I get home. I can't wait until the weekend.

That week sounds like a total opposite of mine. We have had snow days on Monday and Tuesday ,and a 2 hour late start today due to drifting of the snow. Good luck at your game tomorrow too. I can't wait for this weekend. I only have one shift on saturday, then the rest is writing. Something I haven't done in a long time.. and I really want to get something down that involves more original materials, since my last piece I posted on here was a horrid mass of fanboy gook that was rather atrocious. I hope everyone has a good rest of the week and weekend. I'm off to finish up reading my novel. Buenos Noches

Unfortunately we lost our game but it was close. We actually made way more points in the second half, but our first half was just bad. Still, it was fun and the coach was happy with how we played.
I'm definitely going to get some writing done this weekend to make up for all the days I couldn't write because I had other things to do.

I haven't written at all this week. I'm blaming work, though. I pulled 50 hours this week.
I did manage to spend my day off out and about with my daughter. We went to the mall so I could get some stuff from Lush and then I took her to Build-a-Bear. We grabbed some lunch and then went to see Tangled in 3D. It was a great day.

Days off are good.
My basketball team won our game today. The score was really close, 19-20, but we managed to pull through.

Congrats on the win.
I just have to get through today and tomorrow and then I get "a" day off. I'm on the second of back-to-back 50 hour weeks. It's going to make for a nice paycheck at least.

My laptop crashed last Sunday, so my dad took it to the Dell center to see what could be done. They said the motherboard had crashed and to fix it, we'd have to spend $500. So I started looking for a new laptop because it'd be better than fixing my old one. However, my dad did some research and found out that my laptop's clock battery may have run dry, causing my computer to stop working. Clock batteries are 2 dollars, so my dad bought one, took apart my laptop, replaced the dead battery, and put my laptop back together. It's working perfectly again.
I'm glad my dad's good with computers. While a lot of my important files are backed up, I had a few files I would've hated to lose including my iTunes library and some writing.
My basketball team also won two games this week.

Glad to hear you got it working again for much less than the techs estimated. I had to pay about $100 to get all of my files pulled off of my old comp. Most of them were backed up, but I still had some that weren't.
Congrats on the wins, too.
I finally have my weekends back. We hired the last person we needed to hire and he's training this weekend. I have a trainee during the week for another shift that needed filled, but at least I'm done with the 6 day work weeks. It's been several months since I consistently had both days off.
I've also been going to the gym again. I need to get rid of the weight I gained when I quit smoking last year. So far, so good.
