Happy New Year everyone!
Hope you all had a fun and safe New Year's Eve last night. We didn't do much around the house.
I've spent most of today working on my computer. I wiped it and reinstalled the OS and it's running better than it was. We're still having problems with random reboots, though. Hopefully that will sort itself out.

Happy New Year to all!
Good luck with sorting out the computer issues, Lasa.
We had a very regular New Year's Eve. It was just my family and a few family friends. No other people my age though, so I stayed upstairs until midnight when my sister and I went down to greet the new year with everyone else. My grandma was here too and her birthday's January 1, so we ate cake and sang 'Happy Birthday' after midnight. Then I stayed up until 3 and woke up around 1:30.

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well, D. Glad you're doing better, though.
I had a few episodes of Criminal Minds on my DVR, so I watched those and the Mr. was playing on the computer. I went to bed around 11 ish.
I think the computer is a lost cause at this point. Every time I try to run the updates, it reboots and starts all over again. So, I went to uninstall the only program I had put on it and it did the same thing. We decided to hook up the loaner for now and get a new one later this month.

It sounds like you might be loosing your mother board. Swap out your power cable and cable connecting your HD to the mother board and give it one more crash after both of those happen because garbage might still be in the system. If it happens after THAT your IO controller or what ever port your using to connect the HS to the mother board are going bad. Either way its an issue that screams new compy.
Hope that helps.

Thanks D. At this point, I think I've wasted too much time on it already. I did get all of my files off of it before the reformat, though, so I didn't lose anything major. My company is supposed to be cutting us a check this month towards our medical insurance premiums, so after I pay property taxes, I'll have some left over to put towards a new computer.
Work has been quiet today. Chapter Five is finished and will most likely be up sometime after I get home this evening. I'll wait a few days to put it up on FFNet, though since I just uploaded one there a couple days ago.

Good you to hear you got better, D. I've been mildly sick over the entire break with a stuffy nose, but it's calmed down. Just in time for school too, which starts tomorrow (not today because the teachers are doing a teaching seminar or something).
*goes to read chapter 5*

My daughter went back to school today too.
I started back at the gym this week after taking over a year off. Time to get rid of what I gained when I quit smoking. It shouldn't be too hard. I did it before, so I'm sure I can do it again.
In other news, I'm almost ready with the next chapter. I've been trying to write a little bit every night, even if it's just a few paragraphs. I'm just trying to decide which direction I want this next scene to go in and I'll be set.

I like what you've got so far.. and so far i really dont like my schedule for classes. On my B-block days i got college holding (but the local college class doesnt start until the 17th) so we have to just sit in the library the whole 1 and a half and do ACT/SAT Prep. and if we've already done that we get the fun of doing nothing. Sadly i did ACT prep last month, but they got cancelled due to weather so i have to take them in Feb. I hope that everyone else's week is going smoother than mine.

So far this week has been alright. Monday was insanely busy, but the past two days were better. I've had stuff to do though. The promotion means that I have more assignments around the office, but it's not too bad.

Well, at least tomorrow is Friday, which means Young Justice premieres. Can't wait for that. Other than that it's supposed to snow all weekend here. So driving around is probably out of the question. In other news, started my new college class, (not that online one) Taking auto mechanics at the college. It feels so strange being the only teenage in a group of like 15 guy who are at the youngest 21. but I get to work on my SUV and it's a day off from school.
I'm probably going to be taking this weekend off from the forum, so I hope everyone has a good one.

I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday. I get Saturday off at least, so I'll be relaxing most of the day. No snow in our forecast, but it's supposed to be cold and rainy starting on Sunday. It's going to be a change from the weather we've had this week - it's been in the 60's for most of it.
I have my DVR set to record Young Justice tomorrow since it's on around the same time I'm putting dinner on the table.
Enjoy your weekend X.

So far, my week's been okay. Because the gym was taken for the JV boys' basketball game yesterday, we had intense conditioning. It was good, but I'm still sore from it. We've got a game tomorrow, so I'm excited for that. I'm also excited for Young Justice.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Today was too busy for a Friday. On the bright side, they got my work/project laptop unlocked this afternoon. It's been locked since yesterday and the helpdesk told me I wasn't authorized to reset the password. So, now I can get some other stuff done when they get it set up for my next project.
So glad it's Friday, though. I plan on sleeping tomorrow. Overtime on Sunday as usual, but for what they're paying me, I can't complain too much.
I have the next chapter done, I just need to transfer it from my home laptop to the PC so I can upload it. I'll either get it done today or tomorrow.
Also, if anyone is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Glee is having open auditions this weekend.
