Obviously, here there be spoilers.
So, all in all, I think this was a great finale. It tied things up nicely for the season and brought back some old favorites. The only thing that threw me off was Julie and Ship just appearing out of nowhere and then leaving again.
Holy freakin' Cooper, Batman! I think "growth spurt" was an understatement.

Hes not magically cured that device drained all the power back were it belongs. No one died after all . . . how very silver ago . . . I hate the silver age
I think I need to set back and remember this is a kids show and stop wishing for people to go mad and die

This finale was fantastically epic! I loved all the fight scenes. Gwen was especially awesome with her mix of spells and mana attacks.
Gwen and Kevin's fight (the one in the video arcade)... That was intense.
I wish Julie and Ship had done a bit more. Their appearance was rather too sudden, but I'm not going to complain.
And wow, Cooper! Growth spurt plus intense training with the Plumbers really changes a person's outside. I miss the pudgy guy he used to be.
Also, we see Kevin's stepfather, Harvey. I hope he'll come back sometime, just because I don't want this to be his only appearance. He seems nice, which is much different than how most (or all) of the fandom has been portraying him up to this point. And we learn Kevin demolished his own house, on accident.
Seeing as this was a kid's show, I knew there would be a happy ending. If you want to see people go mad and die, just write some fanfiction. I was actually considering writing an ending to the mutant!Kevin arc prior the finale's airing in which they did have to kill Kevin. I'm still considering it though I don't really have any time to write anything.

Honestly, the ending had me miffed. "I spent this whole episode trying to kill my girlfriend, now that I'm better, what should I do?...walk off to have smoothies with her cousin.". Really? I get they had to pull the 'let's bring the aliens' back because it's a kids show, but...really? Not even an apology for trying to kill her? WTF? Not happy about that. Liked the rest of the episode decently enough. Ben got in some cute quips when he wasn't being all "I'm off to destroy Kevin RAWR!".

I think we know how far mcduffie will push things now. The ride was fun but the pay off was meh.

I have to agree. It's one of those times where they tied things up too neatly. I understand it's a kids' show, but still. Sometimes it's good to leave a few things messy. It keeps the viewers interested.

I really had hoped when Darkstar got all the power that he would keep it and be the season 2 main antagonist. but i havent even heard anything on a new season, but 52 episodes were ordered and we've only hit 20. I dont know how this will really work. If season 2 is 20 episodes, that puts us at a season 3 of only 12. unless they pull an alien force, order more and have it lead up to yet another spin off. But i think they should keep ultimate alien on track for at least 4 seasons and maybe jump us to a CANNON version future ben or maybe like not as a 40 yr old. but a 21 yr old version.

Yeah, I agree as far as Cooper goes. He was shown to have a crush from the get go. I don't see them using him as a serious romantic interest though.
I would be on board for a grown up canon version of the team. It would be interesting to say the least.

That would be pretty great. I never got why Ben didnt hack the Ultimatrix with Brainstorm. (referring to Ken 10, when Ken hacks it as Grey Matter) But have you ever wondered if we'll ever see Ben as an Osmosian? or whatever Pierce is (his full alien version not the hybrid) and maybe if the Galvan DNA didnt come from Azmuth himself?

It was disappointing to see Darkstar so quickly defeated. I would've been shocked if they had trusted Darkstar enough not to have a safety measure built in, but I would've been happier had Darkstar managed to get away with all that power. He would've made a great big bad to face up against the group.
A canon series with a grown-up group would be interesting.
I don't think we'll see Ben as an Osmosian, but Pierce's alien species could be a possibility. As for his Galvan DNA, I have wondered whether it came from Azmuth or not. On one hand, it's his invention and he's proud enough to include his own DNA. On the other, he may not have wanted his DNA used for whatever purpose.
