I liked this episode. It had some good battles and I loved watching Kevin fight (the transformation of his arm into a Goop arm was great and an interesting use of his powers). I'm really looking forwards to the finale where the action is bound to be top-notch.
Ben's getting even more aggressive. I had a theory that perhaps the Ultimatrix might be affecting him, perhaps making him a more aggressive person, perhaps in a way to 'evolve' him. There's the pink eyes and Azmuth's statement about the evolution feature asking for trouble that seems to point in that direction.
Also, the Vreedle Brothers are Plumbers now (well technically cadets as they haven't graduated and with their grades, I'll be surprised if they do)! I was surprised and I really hope they don't drop this plot point.
And wow, the scene at the end between Kevin and Gwen was intense. I liked that you could see his hesitation in the shakiness of his hand. It was a nice show at him fighting the insanity. Plus, the bit at the end where he spares her.
My only complaint about the episode was the absence of the Plumbers Helpers. I thought they would be at the Academy, but I guess they were either out or have already graduated. The former's more likely as I doubt they could graduate so quickly. I suppose it would've been a lot to have them in the episode, but it would've been a nice touch.
