www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ_T22NGCFwPay close attention tot he scene where Azmuth is going on about how giving Ben the watch was a mistake, and he clams things have gone " far enough". And Paradox said " Have they now? " and Azmuth backs off. Now mind you Im a dedicated pessimist, the glass is half empty kind of guy so take this with a grain of salt. I take that as a thinly vealed threat. Who the heck is Paradox to tell the old galvan what to do? This guy is some wack job from the 40's that blundered his way into power by messing with powers beyond his keen, and he gets to play time lord? Maybe I'm just in the mood to damn the man as it where or maybe Mcduffie's starting to loose me writing wise but Paradox is starting to wear on me. Opinions people?

Uhh... I'm back? *dodges things but gets hit in face by flying laptop* Ow...
Paradox is the kind of character that is effective only in small doses... I think. It is really easy to get tired from him if the writer uses him too much. He can be a very convenient deux ex machina and/or plot device if misused. I wish things will not go in that direction.
I think it would be interesting if we could have him as an antagonist instead, but that is just my inner villain talking to me. *gets hit by another flying laptop*

I have to agree with you, Blue. He's good in small doses. I'd also like to see him as an antagonist, but I don't think they'd take it in that direction.
As for how he talked to Azmuth... I've caught more than a little arrogance in his character, simply because of what he is. He exists outside of time and space, yet can participate as he chooses. That alone is enough to give almost anyone a god-complex.

I have already done the " Paradox as the source of the problem " bit once already. I might have to do it again just to get it out of my system.
It comes down to " who died and made you god " or "who watches the watchmen".
I know this character isn't meant for this kind of thing. This isn't David Tennants Doctor Who in " Waters of mars " realizing that as the last of the Time Lords no one and nothing can make him do a damn thing.
But then again this is fanfiction fun wild.

I really miss the Paradox in Alien Force, the insane space-time meddler.
I do not like the way they depicted this Paradox. His arrogance is justifiable, but I think the writers made him too powerful. Something is very wrong here. *waits for flying things*
