Well, I'll add a few suggestions. I'm one of the newer Ben 10 writers, but I do notice that while mushy fluff will get you more reviews (in all fandoms), it's generally out of character for ALL of the characters from Alien Force. It especially irks me if Kevin gets mushy for no good reason. And he needs a really good reason to be cuddly. Maybe if he's exhausted from fighting off 500 DNAliens and has transformed into Mutie!Kev and back. Twice. Then he might condone a hug.
Gwen's reaction to a Kevin/Ben relationship is something that is generally hard to pinpoint, but I'd say she'd be pretty darn pissed if she hadn't already relinquished her grip on Kevin. She probably won't hurt Ben, but she'll probably avoid both guys for an extended period of time after yelling at them. And this all depends on whether or not the boys are already together. If she just figures out one likes the other, she may react differently. Like, how she'd promise to keep it a secret for Ben, and then go off and make sure Kevin still has eyes for her. Or she'd bop Kevin on the head if he lets slip he'd rather have Ben than her, followed by a round of sniffles on the roof outside her bedroom window.
But then there's the more hilarious option of which she was really just testing Kevin to see if he was good enough for Ben. That theory cracks me up every time I see it. Especially when she gets Julie and Verdona involved.
So, what I'm saying is that it's a cartoon and the characters haven't really been developed enough on the show itself to allow for definitive reactions to events that have not already happened in the show's plot. As long as you, the writer, develop the character believably based on what of them has been revealed, you can create a good reaction if it follows your characterization.
Which leads us up to the Original Character. Oh my god. I have had some really, really bad experiences with OCs. So bad, that I now avoid them like the plague. The only OCs I've created are villains. Most of the OCs I've read have really sucked. I would smack people like them in real life. When I see fics with OCs, I run away lickety-split. So, as much as I commend you all for trying to help people create good original characters, the general creation of an original character may be enough to turn away readers on its own. Just a warning.
Ah, those were Timmy's and saiika's. Tim's a fair Bevin writer, but not the greatest. Saiika rocks my socks, but it could be because she writes awesome drabbles after nearly every episode pointing out the Bevin, explaining away the Gwevin, and just over all being funny. I would give you some Bevin recommendations, but it's difficult to find anything that's a perfect example. I would say just keep a weather eye out for anything that looks good. and give it a chance. One of the good things about Ben 10 slash is that it has the potential for awesome plot twists and angst. And it's basically an exploration of something that would never happen on the show, because it's a kids' cartoon.
Admittedly, along those lines, I would say that ANY kind of serious romantic relationship outside of married couples shouldn't happen. At all. Especially involving the main characters. But I'm one of those anti-Ron/Hermione people. Ron/Hermione = Kevin/Gwen. Bleargh.

But I haven't really read Bevin, and the ones I've read are just one-shots, humorous ones. There was one where Kevin caught Gwen and Cooper in a closet making out, and he goes back to Ben saying it was only Gwen and Cooper, before the end is surprisingly cut and ended with a foreshadowing of Bevin, and there was one where Gwen sort of sees into Kevin's mind and there are lots of erm, intimate thoughts of Ben. That was funny too.
