I think we need to have our own personal story as a big group project. Theres only one thing i could really think of for this and its one of the multiple view point Kind of stories where it switches from the main character to main character..on and on. I'll develop a backstory unless someone else wants to. (please do.) We should develop an interesting plot. So if you want to participate in this event, you just need to develop one chapter at a time kind of deal but probably should set a few guidlines.
Rules for Developing a Chapter
- Don't make you're character the main hero or main center for the entire thing.
- Continue out the plot. Dont have fight A in one persons chapter, then just jump to spaceship B because you were in the mood to finish a fight scene.
-Keep it cleanish probably for T (slightly mild language if you wish)
-Probably no more than a page and a half (by Microsoft word standards)
-standard grammatical stuff
-No big plot holes that you leave for people to fill due to laziness.
Character Rules
-Since this is like a multiverse story, stick to using a main character from one of your fics. I guess it really doesnt matter if you introduce a new guy, but already used OCs are prefered.
-No Mary Sues
-Limit it to 1-5 abilites or what not, unless we all agree to Mary-Suedom and have trillions.
Well I guess we can go from here. If anyone wants to jump on board I'll create an opening chapter. Also I'd like to include like an "origins" story about each character. Maybe like a page long or so. Just like a first adventure short story.

Interesting. I've got a lot on my plate right now, but I'll think about it.
I can't think of a good plot right now, but maybe we should start by determining what genre and setting we want.

Paradox playing the Xanatos gambit is a good all be it very often used reason for stories like this. IE hes tossing them together for an adventure NOW because it will effect their futures later.
Example the guy im working on isn't a bad guy but could very easily turn out that way due to the basis of his powers. Meeting some of the other characters in this story could set him right or failing that make some future heroes aware of his existence in the so they will be better prepared to stop him if need be.
To do this Paradox might snap out protagonists up and dump them some place they need to work together to get out of or confront them with some common threat.
Hows that sound?

Thats a good idea man, I hadnt even considered Paradox as an option. So we got how they got there. We just need to come up where there at, and the main problem (at the present time) then we'll have a story goin

This way we all know at least what the character can do and how the original author handled them. As a bonus I'll read at least some of your stories ;D |

Thats what i was gettin it at with the short stories about the orgin. Just something to write about your guy, because sure i've read lasa's stories but she's the only one that knows how to work her OCs and then we wouldnt want to like totally destroy her OC

If reading material exists, then I think it would definitely be beneficial to make sure you've read at least some of what's there. If it's a brand new character, then I think a complete profile would work.

Could be interesting...personally I'd want to use my Tex character from "Turning Point", but he's dead so...not sure if that's going to bug people. (He was fun to write, though...)

If Paradox is involved we could aways call it something that happened before he died. No trouble from me if you wanted to go that way. As for me I changed my mind I'm going to go with Craft from "Yesterdays sins". I'll get the "character sheet" up in a bit. Say anyone have suggestions on how to refer to a genderless life form in a story? Does " it " work for living things? Suggestions welcome. Hmm...should have looked at this earlier, it's an interesting idea. I don't really have any OCs that I've done serious story work on though and none at all for a Ben 10 fic...I've got a few scraped characters that might work though...
I think 'it' would work DatDude, but using whatever gender Craft looks like at the time could work too.

Gender- What now?
Aliases- What do I put here if theirs not enough room to list them all?
Age- I joined the plumbers 13 years ago, and go voided 5 years ago. I actually don't have anyidea how long I'm going to live. Better make it all count hu?
Appearance- A small transparent crystal shard about the size of a JFK 50 cent coin. Uses illusions and hard light constructs to look humanoid.
Residence- Officially should be in a half way house in the null void dimension.
Favorite Color- All of them silly.
Friends- ?? Define “friend” for me meat creature?
Favorite Foods- Unfiltered starlight. If I simply have to eat thought an atmosphere I can get by in the same way a human can live for a week on a ham sandwich and a gallon of OJ, NOT WELL.
Phobias- Starvation. If I run out of power I can't move or talk or do anything but wait for the lights to come on. That shinny bobble that IS ME is not really that durable.
Faults- In the past I really liked to be the center of attention, and if I found myself blending into the woodwork for very long I acted out just to make a show of it. I'm better now . . .after getting voided. . . I swear. . .
Pets- I get a PET! Can I have a human?
Religion- Whats this? You organic creatures need to have subtitles so the rest of us can understand! If I had to guess Religion is when you have to Ligion all over again for some reason. Since I never had Ligion in the first place I never had to RE-Ligion.
Status- Former Plumber busted for arms trafficking. In my defense I only sold DEFECTIVE armaments slotted to by recycled on the black market. Who knew broken stuff could still get people killed? Currently serving time in the Null Void dimension. Thanks to doing some favors I've got 50 years left on my sentence. That's not that long for my people but the light in the null void is barley able to keep me going. Don't ask.
Hobbies- Trying out new hobbies! No really we just kind of serve the hive mind back home it's nice to get out and try new things.
Children- Only the queen gets to have babies thanks. I am just a defective drone and happy about it thanks.
Temperament- Umm aaa I'm happy like to see the up side as much as possible. I can be underhanded . . .some times. . . am I being graded on this?
Something Hated- Anything that keeps individuality down. And yes I know we need the rank in file to make the worlds keep spinning no lectures please.
Secrets- I have TOTALLY learned my lesson and all but umm I may have done a few .. . . tiny things that the plumbers didn't know about before I got voided that if they found out about now even with that little favor I did to get my sentence down to 50 little years that could get me life. . . .in the void. . . where I'll starve to death or get killed by someone I sent there when I was a cop.
Talk a pill and let it calm your fleshly brains, I'm not Vilgax I don't enjoy hurting people. I just get carried away, and people get hurt because I don't understand how fragile you meat bag can be ok?
Strong Memories- All of them I have total recall! OK OK don't look at me like that. . . the day I left home I knew if I didn't get away I was dead, and if I did if I ever came back I was dead. Home is a hive mind with no dreams no laughs no ME. I was glad when I left and if I had to pick a day to call the best of my life that was it.
Illnesses- If I get . . . by that I mean the real physical crystal that IS me gets cracked everything gets all fuzzy and I'd better get my behind into orbit of a star so I can heal. Closest thing I get to an “Illness”
Nervous Gestures- You have this backwards! Every facial twitch heart beat or breath it appears I have is something I do to look like an organic life form. If I don't know how to react I don't and that can give me away some times. Also I can get lazy sometimes and just let my hologram sit there and well seeing someone just stop blinking breathing or moving to the extent they might as well be a picture will some times freak people out.
Sleep Patterns- I need to recharge people need to sleep so recharging while people sleep helps me blend in. Of course if I cant get into orbit I'm not recharging THAT much.
Nuts and bolts.
Craft is a light manipulator. Hard light holograms, soft light projections, lasers, the ability to hit a fair amount of light speed outside a powerful gravity well ( like a planet ). Every sense Craft appears to have is in fact light based. Turn invisible craft can't see hear or touch you, because craft is just faking all of those senses.
The only one that can be faked that way is smell. Scent is something Craft has read a lot about but will never know. A bag of tricks always where craft can get at it, but never on his/her/it's person will have a lot of perfume deodorant bottled sweat ( do not ask really DO NOT ASK its a gorse story and illegal in Jersey) to make the illusions seems more real.
Important bit: Craft was fitted with a galvanic control ring before going into the Nullvoid. This allows anyone with a plumber badge to give a nasty shock on command. The ring can also be set to stand alone mode making Craft stay in a given area, or not put out energy over a preset level. Lets add a tracking signal to that list because its fits.
