Two months in a row... I actually remembered again.
Did everyone who had a long weekend enjoy it?

Same old same old with me, I'm done with college for the semester and my mom had to work, so I had the house to myself pretty much. Wasted time watching AF re-runs. XD

The weekend was good. Spent two days at the anime con and then on Monday, I did all my homework and relaxed.
This is my final week of classes (besides finals next week, but those don't count as classes). It feels good to be so close though I'm not looking forwards to studying over the weekend.

Re...lax...3 day weekend? These words are foreign to me. I do not get holidays off (we *might* get Thanksgiving and Christmas off. These are still up in the air for now. *sigh*)
But I have tomorrow off...but dad's home so I may or may not get some writing done.

I know how you feel, Mel. My department is 24/7, so we don't get holdiays off either. I did, however, have two days off this week, which will be the last time I get that for a while.
We went down to Canton yesterday and took the dog with us. It was a nice day out and I picked up a new incense burner and two packs of cone incense for under ten bucks. I'm back at work today and I'm definitely feeling some pain from yesterday. I'm not supposed to be on my feet for more than an hour at a time because of my knee, but we kind of ignored that yesterday.

Served as the head writer for my friend's 48 hour film project. I nearly strangled a few actors...I was only able to write for a few hours before I had to leave (I had Brandon with me the whole time. Kind of a distraction). Apparently after I left the whole thing went down hill with a bunch of arguments...I came back this morning with the condition that only Michael and I work on the script with Nate (my friend) sitting in to tell us if something wouldn't work for direction. I told the actors that they could work on choreographing the fight scene while we were writing and working on the minstrel's song and that when we finished we would be doing a cold reading. I kind of took the reigns from my friend (because I'm mean) and went "This is a cold reading. Here's a pen. We will not be stopping. If you have a question, comment, concern or idea write it down in the margin. No interruptions. We're reading through this whole thing then Mike will be sent outside so that I can listen to your ideas." Nate was trying to compromise too much and Mike refused to compromise at all. I was expected to be glared at the whole time but the only comment I got was "...next year you need to be here the whole time." They're out filming now and I'll post a link to the finished project when they send it to me. It's a very weird story but if you guys like my normal writing you'll probably enjoy it.
*sigh* Sorry, needed to rant. Like I said, I was getting frustrated. ...Plus I didn't get to watch Ben 10 or Generator Rex until this morning.

Sorry to hear that you got frustrated, Mel. Can't wait to see it.
Finals are starting this week on Tuesday. I'm not too concerned about any of of them besides Algebra 2, simply because we aren't allowed to use a graphing calculator. We've used it almost all year in class, so I've grown used to having the device to help me. Oh well, the teacher's being nice enough to put a list of need-to-know formulas on the actual test, so I can't complain.

Mel, big hugs for you while you're dealing with the frustration. I, too, can't wait to see it when it's ready.
Despite the fact that I never got along with cheerleaders in high school, I signed up my daughter for cheerleading yesterday. She's excited and I think it'll be good for her.
I figured out the problem with the scene I'm writing in Good Intentions. I've been going about it all wrong and Albedo is coming off OOC, so I'm going to have to rewrite the last half of it. Also, there's an OC competition starting up on one of the LJ communities I belong to, so I'm trying to decide whether to use Karian in a one-shot with Ben or if I should make it a stand alone and create someone a little more normal. I have a few ideas and I have six weeks in which to complete the fic, so I have a little bit of time to decide. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good idea, Lasa!
...*bangs head against desk* Hopefully it's better than it seems, but Nate played me a clip this morning when I went over to sign paperwork so they'd be legally able to use the script...I was concerned about our only actress. She was ...horrible in the scene they showed me, and did what she'd requested doing that I sat down and had a chat with her about why that scene would not make sense given the context of the script, who she was as a character, and how the audience needed to view her. She said she understood. She is either a lying little bad word or she did understand and decided to ignore it anyways. I was only shown the one scene but I was frankly very angry about it, especially as it's too late to do a reshoot. Ai ya, remind me not to agree to this next year. I'm starting to really hate actors, and I did 3 years of theater myself!
Good luck with your test, Dragonelf, I bet you do great!

Not sure I liked how it ended up....the ending was changed slightly. It still ends the same, but it's implied rather clumsily. I'm not in the movie at all, but my name is listed in the credits as the 2nd writer (this being because Michael ended up writing most of the dialogue. I did the story idea and I handled the rewrites because some of the scenes written while I wasn't there were...clumsy, at best). www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvNBWmmFbdIAlso, the fight scenes are very dark and frankly I'm annoyed with how they did certain parts. >.< If I do this next year I'll be staying the whole time just to ensure they don't mess around so much and understand which parts are crucial and what can be played around with.

So...got a call today while I was at work and then was later sent an email. Some furniture rental company wants to interview me for a management position. If I get it I'd have to change Brandon's daycare (it's in a different city 30 minutes in the opposite direction of the 30 minutes I currently have to drive), but I think I'm going to at least call to inquire about it. If the hours are reasonable I'd like to go for it.

The plotline was interesting, but the fight scenes were too dark and I can see what you mean about the clumsy parts.
Let us know how the inquiry turns out.
Finals have made me tired, but I think I did well on them. Today was the last day of school. Besides an award ceremony and cleaning out lockers, all I did was hang out with my friends and sign yearbooks. All in all, very relaxing and a good change from the stress of finals. I'm still having a hard time believing that I'm now halfway done with high school...

I made pretty high demands for next year...the lead girl will not be allowed to act, actors are not allowed to be involved in the first writing stage (though they will have their opinions heard out after the rough draft is finished) and if I want to yell at people, I get to. My friend wants be back writing badly enough that he agreed to all of it.
Don't blink, or it'll be your last day of high school with you wondering where all the time went...
