I've worn contacts since I was sixteen. Can't stand to wear glasses now because I lose my peripheral vision and it drives me up a wall.

I miss my contacts. Glasses stink, and I've had the same pair since I started college and desperately need new ones but my insurance from work doesn't kick in for another 5 months >.<.
Brandon's birthday is tomorrow! ...and work. But it's a 2 hour meeting and then I'm out of there.

I've had glasses since kindergarten, so I've gotten used to them. Definitely won't be trading them for contacts... Plus, I've got a paranoia about contacts.

I was off today, although they tried to call me in for the overnight last night and I actually turned it down (first time I've turned down Overtime for these people). I went to the firing range today and got some practice in. I did better than I had expected considering I'd never fired a gun before today. The Mr. suggested that I go once a week to work on my marksmanship. I might end up doing that. Although, I got better as time went on today.
Back to work tomorrow. I seriously want a vacation.

Thanks, guys. I got him a Tonka dump truck...he can use it as a walker or ride on it. I made the mistake of hitting the horn...he's terrified of it, he's scared of balloons, too. Yeeeeaaaah.
I'm hoping to write something on Saturday. I'm itching to write but I'm so tired right now I can't focus.

My nephue has a big bump truck and they only way to get him to sleep some times it to stick him in the bed of it and rock him around. Car guys you can spot from a early age i think.

Good luck with that.
Went to the optometrist today. It turned out that fixing my glasses would cost $80, so instead I decided to get a new pair because insurance covers it. Also did an eye exam since I was there. It went well except for the 3 eyedrops the doctor administered in each eye >-< I really didn't like it.

Day one of no smoking. It sucks. I mean, seriously sucks. I'm on the patch which helps somewhat, but not completely. I'm still miserable.
Yeah, the dialation drops are annoying.

Someone responded to Disillusioned and while the review was positive it said something about being disappointed about Gwen and Kevin not being there. I kind of blinked and went "...dude, did you even read the story? They were there...they're still gonna be there...a major plot point is going to be torturing the heck out of Kevin!" >.< Whatever.
I'm stupidly hyper right now and don't know why. New Glee Tuesday and Ben 10 and Generator Rex Friday! YAAAAY!

Day three of not smoking. I'm starting to feel a little better, but not much. I'm still shaky and irritable. It'll pass, but getting through it sucks. This is why you shouldn't start smoking to begin with.
Great updates, Mel. And yeah, reviews that show reading comprehension failure annoy me too. I think I told you about the last one I got for Good Intentions where the reader was wondering why Albedo was there. It's not like it says it in the summary or anything /sarcasm.
Anyways, heading off to work. I pulled a 12 hour shift yesterday but I'm on regular schedule today. I'm also going to have my daughter clean the baseboards tomorrow. She decided to klepto sodas from the fridge again before we got up yesterday. I was not amused. She's grounded but that hasn't been working, so hopefully, some manual labor will get the point across. I know, I'm such a mean mommy. She has to learn that this is not acceptable behavior though.
I'll check in later.

I can't think of a specific review where someone had a reading comprehension fail or even if I've gotten one, but I agree that those would be annoying.
Today my class got our history tests back. The teacher was disappointed in the fact that not everyone was able to label major countries on a blank map. Countries wrongly placed included Japan being put in the middle of the Philippines and Chine up in Siberia. As amusing as it was for those of us who got everything right, it was also downright pathetic. I still don't see how they managed to get this wrong.
