I think what's bothering me more is that Ben and Julie are supposed to be dating and she's been in one episode this season (if I counted right). Now, I don't like Julie for several reasons, but I think that since it is a canon relationship, they should at least make an attempt to include her.

Aside from Kevie's mutation and the now-that-Vilgax-knows-The-secrets-of-the-Omnitrix hint, plotline isn't really going anywhere. :S Well, Dwayne McDuffie mentioned that the plot would sneak up on you, so it may be pretty sudden. Season 3 episode 1 airing this month in my country. I am NEVER watching Simple again, unless for watching Lodestar in action. When's he coming again? Oh ya, I think Julie's appeared, err, 1....2 times. I'm starting to wish she did join the Plumbers. Then Ship could turn into a high tech tennis racket and Kevin can help her make exploding tennis balls, net ones, super-dense ones........I've been thinking this up for a while.

That would actually work pretty well.
If they plan on keeping it as a canon relationship, then it would help if she actually appears in a few episodes. Making her useful and adding some kind of depth to the character would help too.

Seriously. I mean, thinking back into high school, whatever guy I was dating at the moment was usually always RIGHT THERE. I got out of class, he'd be waiting to walk me to the next one, I had two who had different lunch periods than I did who kept sneaking out to see me. (..of course, my tendency to date really uh....let's just say 'devoted' guys might have affected this), but anyways, high school is always that 'we think we're totally serious, zomg, we're in LOOOVE! We're never gonna break up!" kind of thing, so you'd think she'd be around more. Plus, you know, if your boyfriend is out there risking his life, most girlfriends would want to be near by to make sure he doesn't get hurt.
Kevin's mutation is...frustrating to me. I really didn't want a whole season of him mutated. One episode? Fine. Two to four, okay. More than five and you're grating my nerves. We see it enough in fanfiction, and the angsting is getting old. Very old. ....though I have to admit, I am oddly amused by his speedos.

His speedos are indeed amusing. However, ZOMGAngst!Kevin gets annoying real fast.
And good points there about high school relationships.

I'd rather see him angsting about how he can't afford boxers.

True. That would be hilarious.

The angstiness does get old after a few episodes......were he like Cyborg from Teen Titans or The Thing in Fantastic Four, he'd be complaining a lot less. Those two are good role models for mutations and ugliness.

Well, at least Cyborg has parts of him that still look human. Poor Thing...doesn't help Johnny's constantly making fun of him....*ahem*...yeah, comic book nerd.
I suppose it's because it's the second time it's happened to him. But the first time he dealt with it better and he was younger AND uglier (sorry, I just don't find him cute mutated)...I don't know. I wish they'd just turn him back.
New episode tomorrow night. Still hoping that none of the episode descriptions are correct.

I'm going to miss the new episode tonight because of the equipment installation at work. I'm not allowed to change the TV off of the news.

I haven't watched it yet. I have to catch the replay...Law and Order is always on the livingroom tv at that time. Bah.

So no one has commented on this one yet. I'm about to see if they have it on YouTube. Should I be worried?

Alright, I found it. Spoilers ahead with a side of ranting.
This episode left me waving the WTF flag. The concept of the mimicking device was decent in theory, but it got annoying real fast. Not to mention the rampant property destruction that without consequences being brought up in the future (just my theory, mind you).
And why is Gwen back to using incantations? The concept of her using magic was discarded in previous seasons already and this is the second episode this season that's had her "casting". No. Just, no.
It also irked me that the whole time this item that's supposed to be stronger than the Omnitrix (level 20+ tech? Seriously?) ends up being just a child's toy. Given the fact that it took the "most intelligent race in the universe" to create the Omnitrix, the idea that some alien baby is running around playing with something even stronger just seems ridiculous.
WTB continuity and a viable story arc.

Some of the humor was good...I was not amused by the 'toy' repeating lines. It got old VERY quickly. (and to be honest, my first thought was 'now how many kids are going to do the annoying repeating everything you say game just because of this episode?')
Gwen casting didn't irk me as much as her saying "I still have my spellbook.". ...we know that, Gwen. Kevin knows that. Ben knows that. So why did you need to announce it?
Honestly, I enjoyed it until the end. I'm getting sick of these other aliens and their "oh, you're humans, so you're stupid." comments. Nuh-huh, miss energy being (btw, does Verdona know you're stealing her schtick?), I refuse to accept your existance as that is in direct violation of the "Galvans are the smartest beings, and Azmuth is the smartest of all."...I guess she may be from a different galaxy, but can these episodes stop screaming "filler"? Please?
I am surprisingly endeared of the Vreedle brothers. They really aren't bad villains to have return. They can be quite funny, in fact. But I think I'd prefer to see them utilized by say...Vilgax, to retrieve the omnitrix. Is it too much to ask for a villain team up episode? I mean, rogue's gallery episode. I know they're cliched, but I usually love them.

The Vreedles weren't too bad this time around. But they got blown up.
