Seeing as how this episode is airing tonight and we didn't have a thread for it, I figured I'd start one.
I'll be back for discussion after the show.

Overall, it was an ok episode. I liked how Kevin retained his snark even when hypnotized. It just seemed so.. Kevin.
However, they're still running into continuity issues. As soon as Gwen's heritage was revealed in previous seasons, they wanted to make it clear that she wasn't actually doing magic. But there she was using incantations at the end.
Ben and the giant Smoothie was great, though.

I have to watch the play of it for the Western states here in ....37 minutes. We were doing 'family game night' and it interrupted my Ben 10 watching (not to mention was then interrupted by my old friend Stu, his old friend Terrence and then my sister's friend Sarah.....the wii called to them! woooo!)...anyways, I'll post again after I've watched it.

...that is the 2nd time they've ended on a *real* downer this season. I mean...yikes. And what the heck was up with Ben being so...A.D.D.? "OOH, let's go on patrol, let's go catch robbers, I LOVE THE PLANETARIUM!"...it's like someone snuck something into his smoothie. He was just...very random. Which was hilarious, but also felt really OOC.
Best part? Totally the smoothie fight. However, it's kind of nightmare fuel, too...I mean, think about it...that smoothie was ALIVE. Ben was DRINKING ITS INNARDS. Ew.

Also, the Bevin LJ confirmed that I'm not the only one who thought this: Charm's "Caroline" disguise totally had Ben's mom's hair. Is that not just weird, or what?

Yeah, I noticed the hair. o_0 Wonder what was that for. Will post again once I've watched it on Youtube, which would be in...5 minutes.

OK, I thought this episode was great, actually. Gives progression for Gwevin, hopefully for the better. Upchuck v.s. Mr. Smoothie PWNS. "Please! Stop! I'm half empty!" "That's bad attitude, you're half full!"

As a stand-alone, it wasn't bad. There have been worse this season. What bothers me is the complete lack of story arc. They're bringing back villains from the original series without explaining why. Toss in the continuity issues and it just doesn't fit in as a continuation of the prior seasons.
I did enjoy the Upchuck vs Mr. Smoothie. Yeah, he was drinking his innards, but it was hilarious at the same time. Maybe I just have a twisted sense of humor.

Admittedly, it did have my favorite fight this season, and I adore Charm, but...I just wasn't feeling it. I'm kind of sick of the whole jealousy as relationship fodder. Especially since children's cartoons lately seem to say "it's okay if the guy/girl gets extremely jealous and possessive of you, to the point where they seem like they want to harm the other person showing interest. It just means they love you!".
Jealousy of that level has no place in a mature relationship. Yeah, they're in high school, but the show keeps shoving down our throats that they're meant to be together (and bare in mind here that I LIKE Gwevin...or maybe just did....at this point, I still love writing it, but watching it is starting to get kind of old.)

That's a good point. Jealousy like that shouldn't even really be in a high school relationship either.
Want To Buy: Less cliches and more story arc. Kthx.

Jealousy like that shouldn't be in *any* relationship. It's down right scary (I'm looking at you, certain horribly written book....). And Kevin said just...awful things. With the way the episode ended, I had a moment were I was like "...is this really for kids anymore?"
