It could go either way. Kevin's too vocal when he's mad sometimes. I can picture him cursing Ben out, but then again, he could be stoic about it and avoid everyone. He's done that before too.

I see this being a stoic issue, but that may be because I would want it that way. If he curses Ben out, then both of them are going to have a hard time being around each other, even worse than if Kevin just gets moody and shuts them out.

True. I think he'd get over it, but I can see him getting mad about it and then trying to come to terms with his own feelings on it. I don't know. He just seems like that type to me.

Oh, I'm sure some rage would come out of it. Gays often fall under a less tough stereotype then Kevin would ever want to be associated with. He'd probably be very upset with the idea that he wants to kiss a boy and that other people might think he's weak for that.

Very good point. I think that he would worry a lot about his image and how it would be affected by that realization. I do, however, think that eventually he'd have the attitude of "Yeah, come over here and tell me you think I'm weak." And then proceed to stomp the tar of of them.

Yeah...once he came to terms with it I'm sure anybody who Kevin even *suspected* thought he was weak would be beaten up until everybody got the idea that he wasn't weak. He just has a boyfriend.

Yep. That's just how he operates. It would be an interesting emotional journey though.
Edit: On a side note, how do you think Kevin (or Gwen for that matter) would react if Ben started dating a guy? Assuming Julie was out of the picture?

I don't think Gwen would be that shocked - she seems to know Ben better than anyone else. Kevin, I think, wouldn't get it until Gwen spelled it out to him ("Why is he hanging around with a guy so muu---did they just kiss? Gwen, your cousin just kissed another guy..." "I know, Kevin. Ben's gay." "...huh?"). I think Kevin would be bewildered by it, and, if we're still assuming the possibility of feelings for Ben, I think he'd be upset by it. We'd get a sort of Morningstar all over again, though Kevin would probably try to be sneakier about spying and probably wouldn't tell Gwen what he was up to.

I might have to play with that a little. I usually add at least a little bit of a romantic undertone to my fics. This just gives me the perfect idea.
But I think you're right. If he did have feelings for Ben, he'd get just as jealous as he did with Mike and Gwen. I think Gwen might be surprised, but more accepting. Kevin, if he didn't have a romantic interest in Ben, would probably be weird about it for a little while.

Yay, more plot bunnies! They're breeding just like real bunnies! ^_-
Kevin's just the jealous type. I can see him even getting upset if Ben got another best friend. Let's face it...Kevin's the possessive type, even when he doesn't have it cemented as a relationship (as witnessed by the "tried to steal Gwen from --I mean..." line from Darkstar Rising). He's pretty flirty, but he's afraid to grab what he wants. There's always that wonderful possibility there that he likes two Tennysons, knows it's taboo to like Ben but isn't sure about whether or not to go with it with Gwen. That's got to be confusing. Sort of a "well, whoever I pick must be who I like better...". Huh...working that in with a plot bunny where Ben does have another boyfriend (removes the "well, there's no way he'd feel the same, so I should go after Gwen" thing...although adds in a "he's taken" problem) could be pretty interesting. I'm not going to write it though..I have my own plans for now with Fantasy.

I read what you posted of "Fantasy". Love it. Got a thought I'm going to PM you so that I don't derail this thread.

Okay, cool.
Making sure we do stay on track, though....two things:
1) Should we name this pairing? One fun thing we did with another board was naming the ships, rather than referring to them by mixed names like Bevin. 2) What would their first kiss be like? All I can imagine is Ben catching Kevin off guard, and kissing him really quickly before hurrying inside. and Kevin just standing there, trying to figure out what just happened.

I've never named a pairing, so I wouldn't know where to start.
As for their first kiss... I agree that Ben would make the move, but I think Kevin might not take it too well. He'd probably stand there for a moment and then yell after him.

I'm sure he'd have a moment of "What the hell, Tennyson?!". Especially if it's Kevin's first kiss.

Of course. I so wish they would put that in. Kevin seems a bit conflicted on that matter though.
The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Ben is actually gay and Julie is just there as an attempt to dispute that.
