Absolutely nothing, but it brings her into the black trend (her vest is black....WHY IS THERE SO MUCH BLACK AND GREEN IN THAT WORLD?!!! Do they just have a lot of those colors of paint lying around?)

What's this? Gwen has a new look? Go figure everyone else looks the same. Maybe she decided that Albedo looked oh-so snappy in red and thought she'd take it for a spin.
I think that Man of Action thinks that default teen color is black.

...well, I definitely wore a lot of black my teen years (still do...big mistake, it's friggin hot here...).
Oh, and apparently there'll be a marathon or something on Labor Day with sneak peeks at the new season (not confirmed. Someone on Mr. McDuffie's board said they saw a commercial for it, but I haven't caught it yet, so I'm not positive).

So, did you guys watch the sneak peek clips?
If you didn't, here's some info: apparently Vilgax has the legal right to destroy the earth if Ben doesn't show up to fight him (...seriously? That's a law? WTH, man?). Grandpa Max will be in there, and unfortunately they show Vilgax beating him. Also, Vilgax talks waaaay too quickly during the clips they showed. I'm hoping they sped the clips up, because he was all like "BEN10IHAVECOMETODESTROYYOURWORLD...." There was no pause. It was all clumped together.
Also, Ben still has Jetray and Big Chill (and from the commercials it looks like Cannonbolt and Chromastone as well)...which doesn't make sense because at the end of War of the Worlds he says "I don't recognize any of these guys"...hopefully that'll be explained.
Kevin and Gwen were not in any of the clips. This makes me sad.

Cartoon network has a sneak preview up...first about 4 1/2 minutes of the premiere. Gwen and Kevin fighting some snake monster thing. Both of them have new outfits, and Kev's looks a lot like a work uniform (I think it had a name tag that said "Kev" on it, but I'm tired and my eyes could be playing tricks. It certainly looks like the type of uniform one would wear at a body shop job...). Gwen's finally wearing flats.
No Ben in the clip. Vilgax fighting Ultimo and uh....2 other members of The Galactic Enforcers whose names I do not recall (only watched that epi once, and the team annoyed me so much I didn't pay much attention).

If the tv guide in my tv is correct, next week's new episode, "Inferno", will be about Ben, Gwen, and Kevin finding out Vulkanus (why can't I remember who this is?) has a plot to drill to the center of the earth.

No matter what I do, I can't access the video. Not fair....anyone got tips to help?
Anyway, you guys go enjoy the first episode....being in Malaysia, it ain't gonna come out till...next year, maybe?
Just hope some good soul will record and post it on Youtube.

Just watched the first episode on Youtube. Kevin's new outfit's great.
But Ben SERIOUSLY needs to whine down from post-save-the-world high.
Loved his reaction at the Sumo Slammer movie though. XD

OH GOD, DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT?
DID YOU SEE THAT?!
Man, it started off so excellently. I totally squee'd at Kev's new duds, and Gwenpants kick ass.
What was with their foe, though? Seriously? A snake with snakes for arms? Really, MoA? Snakearms? Has the alien well gone dry? Ugh.
And on top of that, Ben got annoying a fuck again. DUMP THAT SMOOTHIE, GWEN. Though I'd've dumped it down his shirt.
I was seriously rooting for Vilgax, though. Ben needed a good whuping.
To make matters worse, Ben still has familiar aliens. Weren't his words at the end of Season 2 something along the lines of "Hey, I don't recognize any of these guys!"? GRRRR. I WAS SO LOOKING FORWARD TO NEW GUYS.
Omnitrix hack ftw. I was so cheering for it to morph into Ben 10k's gauntlet, though. D:
NewMutie!Kev made me scream. Seriously. It was amazing. I love all the shit he can do, and all the drama that it's implying will happen, and also THAT HE'S PRETTY MUCH COMPLETELY NAKED, OH MY GOD.
When everyone was fighting anything (Vilgax, the escaped aliens, etc) I was just in a constant state of yelling "GET OFF YOUR FUCKING ASS AND USE YOUR BRAINS ALREADY, GUYS".
Like seriously, the new plumber team might've stood a chance if they'd all rushed him at once, instead of all that one-on-one bullshit.
And then Ben and his recapturing, come ON. HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, JUST CAPTURE HIM ALREADY, YOU IDIOT. When Gwen yelled at him for it, I thanked her aloud. Ugh.
And when Ben was fighting Vilgax, seriously, what's with MoA and all the omnipotent jerkoffs? All of Ben's aliens are unrealistically invincible, and if he knew how to use them at all, he'd never lose. It's like half of them are indestructible and the rest have fucking lasers. Give me a break.
And then Vilgax absorbed a jillion powers and is unstoppable, and then Ben beats him with Diamondhead in, like, four sesconds. What? What? I kept shouting at them because the only realistic tactic was to somehow take out Vilgax's technology, like, say, the LIFE SUPPORT ATTACHED TO HIS FACE. And no one even remotely AIMED for his miscellaneous gadgetry, which is what MADE HIM SO UNSTOPPABLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Like that gauntlet? Come on.
Ugh.
AND ANOTHER THING.
It was SO INTENSE, and SO DRAMATIC, ANDCHROMASTONEDIEDOMGITOTALLYCHEERED. And then
It. Just. Ended.
Just like that.
Ben get's pwned, Ben gets pwned, Ben gets killed, BENCOMESBACKTOLIFEANDKILLSVILGAXINAMATTEROFSECONDSTHEWORLDISSAVEDTHEEND.

Ben fan squealing. I was alone in the house, so I was just like "For God's sakes, no wonder everyone thinks you're gay, Ben...". Then when he called himself "adorable", I was just like "between this epi and Birds of a Feather, no one thinks you're straight anymore."....seriously.
What the heck was with the alien thing?
Good thing - while Ben is full of himself, he does acknowledge Gwen and Kev's part in that.
Bad thing - He's full of himself.
Good thing -...he's funnier when he's full of himself. Weird.
I was sort of like "...why is Kevie running around in speedos? ...he doesn't look half bad as this mutie, because he's also freaking built....."
Gwen in much better fighting style clothes, yay!
Kevin's new outfit was awesome, too...too bad now all he's got left are his underwear....(wonder when he'll get to change back to human...)
Why doesn't Ben get a new outfit, too?

Is it weird I only noticed Pierce has a mullet because his hair swooshing when he threw his spikes? Dude, get a haircut.

...and then Kevie was still mutie!Kev at the end. Wonder how long the guy will be stuck like that.
That's all I have on it for now, but I loved it (for the most part...they should have made it an hour 1/2 movie, to fill in more and so the ending wasn't all WTF). I squealed. Almost as loudly as Ben did over the Sumo Slammers movie.

Overall, I enjoyed it. The only problem I see is continuity issues between the end of last season and this episode.
Ben mentioned not recognizing any of the aliens in the Omnitrix, but it seemed like they were all ones he'd used before. That bugs me.
Other than that, I thought it was great.

I think that's bugging everyone. Usually, I like Dwayne McDuffie, but he did annoy me over at his board when someone pointed that out to him. He said "we never said that, you all did."...no, dude, YOU, specifically YOU (as he wrote War of the Worlds), said that Ben didn't recognize 'any of these guys' and he hit a new alien at the end.
