Well, what books do you guys like? I still stick mainly to the young adult section (I find most adult authors kind of boring). Read any good books lately?
I just finished Crazy Jack by Donna Jo Napoli (she basically writes nothing but reworkings of fairy tales...longer, elaborate versions where you feel a lot more for the characters), Far From Xanadu by Julie Anne Peters (I *love* this author, but if you have anything against reading about homosexuality or transgenders, the only book that she's written you'd like is "Define 'Normal'". "Luna" is amazing, but the main issue is the main character trying to deal with having a brother who's transgendered. Mom flipped when she found out I was reading that one...it was kind of amusing).
I love the Demonata series by Darren Shan. Also his Cirque Du Freak series was great (sometimes called The Vampire's Assistant series. Depends on who you ask).
How about you guys?

I'm reading this school library book called "Starseeker" the beginning scared me, i thought it would be one of those horror stories...But it kinda revolves around music and pieces. I also like In The Heat of Night, though it is a short story...There's also: Charolete's web, Harry Potter 1st and 2nd book, Prehistoric Creatures of the Deep, Handful of Time, Glommers Dorks and Me...and I think there's more...Can't remember...

*laughs* can't believe I forgot to list Harry Potter! I love those books (the 6th to a lesser degree, admittedly. felt kind of out of place with the rest of the books)

I think there are eight books in the series. I'm not to sure, I haven't even craked down on the first book, but I can say I've seen all the movies.
At the moment I'm reading "ghostgirl" I don't know why but I can't put it down! (Sad part is she died on page 22 in one of the most dumbest ways.)

There are 7. 8 if you include Tales of Beedle the Bard.
Cuteinpurple - Gaah! That book came out? I missed it?! I was visiting that site for months hoping they'd update with more....I guess they must have published after I stopped going to the site (lots of whiny emos in the message board there)

Yep, it did. Right after I was going to rent it from the library after my friend was finished with her copy, it was on hold. I waited for about a week till it came. It was so worth it. I just love it! Deffinitley a good read, well in my oppinion anyway. I just find the way she died stupid. I mean, a gummy bear? "The prophecy of the stones"? Never heard of it. The books so far I've liked have been the Twilight series (before my friend got to obsessed and killed it for me), The sister hood of the traveling pants series, The Frog Princess series, I'd tell you I love you but then I'd have to kill you, it's sequal Cross my heart and hope to die, and... I've just realized most of the books I seem to enjoy are series. Aw well, anyway, anyone else have a book they recoment?

Every GIRLS at my school (well, grade) were obsessed with Twilight... And when they watched the movie there were all talking about it and how Edward was good looking and whatever... Some people say that Twilight will be the new harry potter.... NO offense to those who loves Twilight, i just don't have interest really.......And they are shooting the New Moon movie at David Thompson(sp?) here in Vancouver. meh, never really went to DT before, that and because I go to a different HighSchool in Van.

I like books by Sarah Dessen. I tend not to read adult books - they can be depressing. However, when I was younger, I read Jeffrey Archer. Now I'm beginning on Sidney Sheldon - some of his books are pretty good.

Out of respect for people here who may like it, I won't post my exact feelings on Twilight. Suffice it to say, I find it overrated in the extreme.
I love the Wicked series. I'm on Son of a Witch right now, and it's just such a great book. ...I think I was supposed to save it to read for the hospital visit, but I couldn't resist. It called to me. Besides, I'd finished my library books and my Demonata book...
